What do you like best about this course?:
While lectures were full of theory and confusing examples, the TA summed everything up very nicely, and did very helpful examples for us. He was very engaging and got our attention
I learned more in this recitation than in the lecture because of the teaching methods.
always helpful with questions
This course covered all the topics discussed in lecture which allowed the students to review the material.
Vidit Nanda, the TA was the best part of the course. No lie! He was funny, he taught the material and he made it come to life! Bringing a boring subject like calculus to life is the true mark of a great teacher!
The recitations made the material a lot easier to understand.
The way Vadit taught the course was great. He understood the way we were thinking about the problems so he knew just how to teach us.
Went through problems in recitation.
That he got students involved in the review
If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:
wouldn't use profanity to try to make students laugh.
If I were teaching this course, I would cover more example problems.
Nothing.
Be more approachable to students.
nothing
Go over more possible exam problems?
Nothing
In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:
The instructor has encouraged students to review material before class as well as the optional homework problems.
Vidit went over some HW problems, worked through them, prepared us for exams, gave us quizzes which were appropriate for the material and helped summarize key concepts from lecture. What more can you ask for from a TA? His comedy was the icing on the cake!
I know different ways to think about problems
Taught in an effective manner.
Other comments or suggestions::
Great TA.
He was a great TA! He really explained the material in a different way than the professor did, so I had an alternate way of working through it.
The course helped understand the material covered in the subject better.
Very entertaining and motivating. If it wasn't for this t.a. i'd be doing really bad
Please make sure Vidit gets to TA Math 251 again! He's probably the best TA for the subject in the Math department!
You were one of the best TAs I've had!
